Allergy
Our cakes are made in an environment where nuts, egg, milk, gluten and other allergens are present. We cannot guarantee that any cake is entirely nut free although we make every effort to ensure that allergies are accommodated.
Transporting cake
When carrying the cake you need to put your hands flat underneath the base of box not the sides and do not place items on top of cake box.
Cakes need to be transported on a flat surface, do not place the cake on the seat of a car, seats are slanted and can damage the cake. The cake should be placed either in the boot or the foot well of the car. Extra care should be taken when driving as some elements may be delicate. Speciality Cakes cannot take any responsibility for any damage to the cake once it is collected and transported by their customers.
Fresh Flowers
If a customer would like fresh flowers on their cake it is the customer's responsibility to source and place the flowers on cake. Speciality Cakes does not take any responsibility for any damage to the cake. The customer acknowledges that fresh flowers are not a food product and it is the customers responsibility to ensure the fresh flowers used on cake do not contain pesticides and are food safe (non toxic).

We may photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.
Non Edible Items
Some cakes will contain small inedible items i.e. dowels, floristry wires, ribbon, flower picks, it is the customers responsibility to ensure these are removed before consuming cake
Storage
Cakes should be stored in the box supplied at room temperature out of direct sunlight and not in the fridge. Sugar paste is not designed to be refrigerated it may sweat and cause colours to run.
Please note icing may crack as it dries out which is out of our control and we recommend eating the cake on the day specified or before the best before date on the box. Once cut cake should be wrapped and stored in an airtight container.

If you are complaining for a refund 75% of the uneaten cake must be returned within 48 hours of collection. Full refunds will never be given for any cake which has been consumed regardless of dispute, as consumption of cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it was supplied.
